Plot
Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes a living by carrying out hits for the highest fee. He soon meets his match in the face of a stubborn British intelligence officer, who follows him on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.. “The Day of the Jackal”; The novel is set in 1963 and involves an assassination attempt on the then president of France, Charles de Gaulle.
The budget was definitely there
A remake of The Day of the Jackal (1973). If you titled a series with "Jackal" then you also need to provide some determination and quality. That’s the case here for the first 20 minutes, but then (as is often the case) it gets steep.
The scenography is good
Cinematography is fine, without much artificial judder, but with a lot of blur. But the script is bad, often just stupid. it just can’t be seen here, they should have called it Car Bomber Day.

On to the actors: Eddie Redmayne did a serviceable job, but Lashana Lynch was pretty much the biggest culprit I watched this year. New season of "Silo" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our November calendar for more!
