Lumion 2023 is unlike any previous version of the software
Lumion Pro Overview With a completely redesigned rendering engine, Lumion 2023 marks the beginning of a new chapter. In October 2022, we revealed that ray tracing would be coming to Lumion – a massive move that meant we had to completely rebuild our rendering engine from scratch. Today, the moment has finally arrived – Lumion 2023 is now live! By completely redesigning our rendering engine to include ray tracing alongside rasterization, we can now provide a platform that will be enhanced faster and easier than ever before. Key Features of Lumion Pro New Lumion 2023 Rendering Engine Since Lumion’s inception, the idea that 3D rendering should be accessible to every architect and designer – regardless of their technical background – has propelled us forward. Our goal has always been to provide a fast, easy and intuitive way to visualize the future.
In many ways, the release of Lumion 2023 represents a complete fundamental change for the software
To enable architects to create without hindrance or hesitation and present designs that go beyond form and function to capture hearts and minds. Powered by a hybrid rendering engine that works with rasterization and ray tracing, Lumion 2023 helps you achieve the highest quality results regardless of hardware. So if you don’t have a ray tracing capable graphics card, you can still see a significant increase in Lumion’s rendering quality with improved rasterization technology for all your building architecture, landscapes or interior designs. Ultimately, it is not about the technology itself, but how it is applied to serve a higher purpose. Whether it’s developing a design, exploring ideas, or presenting your vision for the future, this goal is entirely up to you. Introducing ray tracing v0.9 Unlike rasterization, ray tracing technology doesn’t require any clever trickery to mimic reality – it calculates how light behaves in the real world.
Reflections now work automatically whenever the ray tracing effect is enabled
With the effect enabled, your renders will automatically feature more realistic indirect lighting, non-screen space reflections, drop shadows, and more. The new ray tracing effect in Lumion allows you to control the number of samples and bounces, giving you more control over the final result. See your design in a new light The new lighting system in Lumion 2023 opens up a world of possibilities, enabling more natural renderings. With ray tracing, curved surfaces now show accurate reflections, eliminating the need for reflection planes. In the first implementation, the ray tracing effect will not support reflections from glass or water materials. Make your surfaces look real It’s often the smallest details that help you communicate your design most effectively.
Reflections on a facade
Light passing through a curtain. A wet cobblestone street. When materials look real, your design comes to life. With the ability to adjust these details in just a few clicks, you can create a viewing experience that speaks to all the senses. Improved Material Editor The Material Editor has been significantly improved to give you a greater degree of control over material settings. Lumion 2023’s material editor offers the following options More material properties Lumion 2023’s raster workflow lets you control subsurface scattering.
VirusTotal: Setup: Patch: d4e1264ac0f4b5/detection
This gives objects a translucent effect, allowing light to penetrate the object and be subtly diffused. You can also affect the hue of the scattered light by assigning a color to the material map.
