Plot
A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when he is suddenly visited by an unknown man after nearly three decades. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, then treated.

After he recovered, the series went back into production. Bridges referred to the return as coming back from a "long weekend" for podcast in July 2022.
The Old Man is a spy thriller that is definitely worth watching!
Jeff Bridges is as great as ever and does an incredible job of making you believe he’s still badass at 72! His dogs steal every scene they are in and remind me of John Wick’s dogs.
I’m really looking forward to more and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of spy thrillers
The rest of the cast are at the top of their game here too, especially John Lithgow (who rarely disappoints). I know there are a lot of really good spy shows to choose from, but this one has everything you want in a spy thriller and is a must see.
